What We Offer
Accredited Nature-Based Interventions for Primary Care
Your Forest Footsteps offers structured, evidence-based Green Social Prescribing interventions designed to support adults experiencing mild-to-moderate mental health challenges, chronic stress, social isolation, and anxiety.
We provide a non-clinical, therapeutic pathway that connects patients deeply with nature to improve physiological and psychological wellbeing. We operate across Calderdale (Halifax to Todmorden) and East Lancashire (Burnley).
-
Intervention Format: Structured 2-hour guided Forest Therapy sessions.
Group Management: Strictly capped at a 1:10 practitioner-to-participant ratio to ensure clinical safety, personal space, and high-quality engagement.
Referral Suitability: Ideal for patients struggling with work-related burnout, mild-to-moderate depression, loneliness, or those transitioning out of acute mental health care who require community-based stabilisation.
-
We understand that patient safety and data compliance are paramount when referring out of primary care. Your Forest Footsteps operates under a strict professional framework:

Safeguarding Expertise: Directed by a former Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) and qualified primary school teacher with over 21 years of experience managing vulnerable individuals at complex intersections of life.
Legal & Risk Compliance: Backed by a formal Law Degree (LL.B), ensuring absolute adherence to local authority guidelines, health and safety legislation, and meticulous site-specific risk assessments.
Insurance: Public Liability Insurance (available instantly upon request).
